Tapping the Tagged Tags is a research-based visual project that investigates how tagging systems operate in everyday life. It explores how tags organize and simplify meaning, often shaping how assumptions, roles, and reactions are perceived. The project examines where and how tags function in society—their roles, effects, and influence on perception. Tags may appear efficient, but their simplicity shapes how we see, think, and act, often without us noticing.



Rather than treating tagging as a neutral tool, this project considers it a cognitive mechanism that deserves to be disrupted and reimagined.
